MEET NANNY: CARLEY
Full-Time - San Francisco
I bring over 12 years of childcare experience across daycare settings and private households. I grew up in a home where my mother ran an in-home daycare, which gave me an early foundation in what thoughtful childcare looks like. After years of working in licensed daycare environments with infants and toddlers, I transitioned into private nannying in 2019, where I've continued to refine my approach as a professional caregiver and household partner. I'm deeply invested in fostering secure, trusting relationships with the children and families I work with.
Families consistently describe me as thoughtful, quick to learn, and naturally attuned to both their household rhythms and their children's emotional needs. My approach is informed by extensive training in trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and child development, allowing me to show up as a steady, grounding presence who helps children develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and confidence. I see my role as a calm anchor for both children and parents. I'm highly detail-oriented, anticipatory, and self-directed, proactively easing the mental load of busy households. From maintaining an organized environment to managing children's laundry, restocking essentials, and preparing nutritious meals, I approach household support as integral to my professional role, not an afterthought.
When it comes to play and learning, I love following a child's lead and helping them engage with the world in a way that honors both their individuality and their relationships with others. I'm currently seeking to partner with a family who values emotional intelligence, mutual respect, and collaboration, and who are looking for a nanny who brings warmth, competence, and intentionality into their home.

MY BELIEFS AS A GENUINE NANNY
I believe... in learning that's purposeful and alive. I've always prioritized real-world experience and training that directly serves the work I do, and I love that I get to keep growing through books, courses, and hands-on practice.
I believe... Authenticity and open communication are the foundation of any good relationship. It's a big part of why I love working with kids, because they show up exactly as they are.
I believe... Great caregiving starts with genuinely loving kids, but grows through a commitment to learning how to care for them well. Whether that's understanding nutrition and how to prepare nourishing meals, learning about attachment and emotional development, or simply showing up as someone reliable, active, and steady, I think children deserve caregivers who are intentional about the role they play in their lives.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
Taking care of children and helping a home run smoothly comes naturally to me. It's work that feels aligned with who I am. Being a nanny is an honor because I get to have a real impact on a family's daily life and build genuine, trusting relationships with both the kids and parents. I love working with children because they show up authentically, and that keeps me grounded in what matters most: connection, presence, and care. This industry means I get to do work that's meaningful, collaborative, and rooted in the values I hold most deeply.
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:
I'm naturally extroverted and warm: playful and goofy with kids, professional and poised with parents. My friends would say I can be really fun and lighthearted, but also serious and thoughtful when it matters. I'm a deep thinker and tend to take conversations beyond the surface. I'm highly attuned to children's emotional needs, skilled at keeping parents in the loop, and excellent at managing the flow of a household. I'm proactive, self-directed, and hold myself to high standards. I adapt quickly, think ahead, and take pride in the quality of my work. I value authenticity, open communication, and reciprocity. I believe in giving what I wish to receive, and I'm looking for a partnership with a family built on mutual respect, collaboration, and genuine care.
