MEET NANNY: ALANI
Full-Time - San Francisco
I’m deeply passionate about children’s growth and development, and I find immense joy in helping little ones learn through play, creativity, and exploration.
I knew pretty early on that I excelled in caregiving roles, and that passion has continued to grow as I’ve begun my doula training, deepening my understanding of supporting families through important stages of life. I bring a calm, flexible approach to caregiving, always adapting to each child’s unique personality and needs. I love spending time outdoors, reading stories, and doing art projects that spark imagination and support developmental milestones.
Whether we’re exploring the park, creating something colorful, or enjoying quiet story time, I aim to make each day fun, balanced, and enriching. Families often describe me as dependable, patient, and nurturing. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where children feel loved, confident, and free to express themselves — and to make family life a little smoother and brighter along the way.

MY BELIEFS AS A GENUINE NANNY
I believe... I am dependable because families can always count on me to show up prepared, on time, and fully present. I understand the importance of consistency for both parents and children, and I take pride in following routines while remaining flexible when plans change. Whether it’s maintaining a child’s daily schedule, communicating clearly with parents, or handling unexpected situations calmly, I do my best to create a sense of reliability and trust in everything I do.
I believe... patience is important in caregiving roles because every child learns, feels, and grows at their own pace. Taking the time to listen, understand, and respond calmly helps build trust and confidence. Patience allows me to guide children through challenges with empathy and encouragement, creating a positive environment where they feel safe to express themselves and try new things.
I believe... empathy has helped me in caregiving roles by allowing me to truly understand each child’s needs and emotions. It helps me respond with compassion and patience, especially during challenging moments. By seeing things from a child’s perspective, I can create a nurturing environment where they feel supported, understood, and free to grow at their own pace.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?

There’s a deep sense of fulfillment in being part of their daily lives, celebrating milestones, guiding them through challenges, and watching their personalities flourish. I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel confident, curious, and free to express themselves.
This industry is meaningful to me because it’s about building trust, forming lasting connections, and making a positive impact on a child’s life. I take pride in staying with families long term because consistency and stability are so important for children’s development. Being a reliable, caring presence allows me to support both children and parents fully, and it’s incredibly rewarding to grow alongside the families I work with while contributing to a happy, thriving household.
