OUR PROCESS
We’ll guide you through the hiring process
with your best interest at heart.
Once we receive your application, we will reach out to get the process started of matching you with your future family. Here is a look at how our process works:

Once we receive your application we will want to meet you and get to know you better! By understanding who you are as a caregiver and what type of position you will thrive in, we can start introducing you to families that are inline with what you are looking for.

After meeting you and putting together a selection of potential opportunities, it will be time for you to gather any other important documents you still need for your portfolio.
We will work hard with you to make sure you are up to date with all your vetting paperwork so when you are matched with a new family we can keep the process moving along as smoothly as possible.

This is the interview phase, where you will be meeting a few of our families that we feel are the best suited for you. It’s a great time to get to know the family, ask questions and learn if you can see yourself as part of their team.

This is the most important phase of the process. It’s a time for both the family and the nanny to see if there is chemistry. It’s a place for you to shine doing what you do best! At the same time you will have the opportunity to get to know the family as a whole so that you can make a good decision moving forward.

We will help you every step of the way! Including putting together a written employment agreement and helping negotiate your compensation and benefits package. We can also help align you with our tax and payroll specialists at GTM.

FAQs

There are no fees to be a part of our matching service! We do not feel a nanny should be out anything other than some time. We will try and find the best family for you!

You will need to fill out our Nanny Profile, and we will collect your resume, CPR, First Aid card, references, and certificates (if available).
Once the application has been approved, we will move on to the next steps, which include running your background check before you can start meeting our families.

If you are ready to start the interview process, it is always wonderful to have everything prepared and ready to go.
Genuine Nannies will be collecting:
2-3 Working References
Current CPR Card
Up to date vaccines including TB, Tdap, Flu Shot (if applicable,) and Trustline.
If you do not have these documents current, no worries! We can work together to collect them, as we are moving along in the process. Once you are offered a trial with a GN family, we will run a complete background and DMV check. Once you are made an offer by a GN family, we will then start your Trustline process.

It can take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to find a full-time position. Part-Time positions may take a little longer due to the moving pieces we are working with... (schedules aligning, great nanny/family match, etc.)

As your placement consults, we are with you throughout your employment with a GN family.
If you are finding yourself in a situation where you feel things are not working out, we will work with you to problem solve, explore your feelings and come up with solutions. Open communication is key to along lasting, healthy working relationship. We will always be here to listen, guide, advise and mentor any way we can.
