THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Rose Family!
About the Family
Warm, thoughtful, high-functioning family in Presidio Heights is seeking an exceptional long-term nanny/educator to join their household and work collaboratively alongside their longtime nanny of seven years. Referred to Genuine Nannies by multiple longtime community connections, this is a deeply loving and engaged family looking for the right person to grow with them for many years to come.
The family has three children: an energetic and active 7-year-old daughter, a sweet and spirited 3-year-old son, and a baby girl who is currently 5 months old. Their longtime nanny has been with the family since their oldest child was an infant and naturally thrives with the baby and younger years, so this role is designed to complement that dynamic by bringing in someone who can “age up” with the older children as they continue developing emotionally, socially, and academically.
This is not simply a childcare role. The family is hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys helping children become capable, thoughtful, responsible little people. They are especially drawn to candidates with a teaching background, classroom experience, or a very strong educational and developmental mindset.
They have a full-time housekeeper, value a collaborative team environment, and are hoping to find someone who naturally jumps in, takes initiative, communicates proactively, and truly becomes part of the rhythm of the household.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is energetic, emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and deeply engaging with children at different developmental stages. This family would love someone who can connect individually with each child, understanding what excites and motivates them at their specific age and stage.
They are especially interested in candidates with teaching experience or strong educational instincts who know how to balance warmth with structure and can guide children in becoming independent, kind, curious, and responsible. Someone firm but loving. Calm but playful. Highly communicative and incredibly reliable.
The family values candidates who:
• Lead with kindness and empathy while maintaining healthy boundaries
• Are thoughtful, proactive, and intuitive
• Avoid relying on screens or media as entertainment
• Feel confident managing busy schedules and transitions
• Work well as part of a staffed household/team environment
• Have excellent judgment and strong communication skills
• Are naturally engaging, fun, and active with children
The right person will view this as a long-term relationship and become a trusted extension of the family over time.
