About the Family
A warm, busy, and communicative family based near Buena Vista Park (Castro/Lower Haight) is seeking a Summer Nanny with the option to transition into a part-time morning role in the fall. Their 5-year-old daughter is bright, active, and fluent in Spanish, with interests that include ballet, swimming, and outdoor play.
This is a household that values open communication, initiative, and a collaborative spirit. Both parents have full schedules and appreciate a nanny who naturally steps in, stays one step ahead, and takes pride in creating a smooth, well-supported environment for their child.
The summer will be centered around creating a fun, engaging, and active experience in the city, while the fall shifts into a more structured morning routine supporting school preparation and drop-offs.
The family is open to hiring two different candidates to best support their needs: a temporary summer nanny for full‑time coverage during the summer months, and a separate part‑time nanny beginning in the fall. Candidates may apply for one or both roles depending on their availability and interest.

Spanish-speaking is a strong plus, as the family would love to maintain their daughter’s fluency. A love for cooking and an understanding of healthy, balanced meals are also important, as meal prep is part of the daily rhythm.
Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
• Morning routine, getting the child ready for the day
• School drop-offs during the school year
• Planning and engaging in daily outings, activities, and play during the summer
• Supporting a kind, structured approach to behavior and communication
• Creating a fun, active, and enriching daily experience
Family Assistant Duties
• Preparing healthy dinners for the child
• Weekly snack prep and light meal planning
• Tidying common areas related to the child
• Light household support during school hours or downtime
• Taking initiative with household needs as they arise
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
