Meet Our Carnation Family!
About the Family
This buttoned-up and kindhearted Pacific Heights family is seeking a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two independent, active children; an imaginative 10-year-old girl and a fun-loving 6-year-old boy. Both parents work full-time outside the home, and they’re looking for someone who can seamlessly keep the wheels turning at home with reliability, structure, and warmth. Their long-time nanny is expecting, and the family is excited to welcome someone new into this next chapter.
The home is tidy, organized, and well-run, and the family values clear communication, respect, and shared responsibility. Their kids are learning to be capable and self-reliant, and they’re looking for a nanny who can encourage that development while staying several steps ahead of a busy schedule.
Their Ideal Candidate
This family’s dream candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who has strong executive functioning skills and thrives in a role where autonomy and trust are central. They’re looking for someone flexible and available who can jump in wherever needed—whether that’s managing Google Calendars, meal prep, or facilitating school pickups and activities.
Reliability is essential here: the family can’t afford frequent absences or tardiness. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently without micromanagement are key. This is a great opportunity for a polished and experienced nanny who loves supporting capable kids and keeping a household humming.
