POSITION: Part or Full-Time Career Nanny/Family Assistant
SCHEDULE:
Part-Time Option: Monday–Thursday, approximately 2:00–7:00 PM; Friday until approximately 6:00 PM
Full-Time Option: The family is also open to Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–6:00 PM for an exceptional candidate who is interested in a larger Nanny/Family Assistant role
GUARANTEED HOURS: 25 or 50 hours a week
CHILDREN: 6 week old baby, 2 years, & 4 years old
SALARY: $45+ DOE (PTO Package Included + Guaranteed Hours)
IDEAL START DATE: September 21st, 2026
Driving: Required; family is open to providing a vehicle
Travel: Occasional travel, but not required
Pets: Adorable, friendly Golden Retriever

Our Family
A warm, active Mill Valley family is looking for an engaging, proactive, and experienced Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household and help care for their three young children: a 6-week-old baby and two older siblings, ages 2 and 4.
Dad will be returning to work in early September, while Mom will remain home with the baby until approximately January. They are looking for someone who is comfortable working alongside a parent when needed while also being confident taking ownership of the children and household flow independently.
Their Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for an all-star nanny who is loving and nurturing but also energetic, confident, and highly engaged.
Their ideal person is someone who gets down on the floor and plays, talks with the children, plans activities, and is truly present rather than simply supervising. They value a nanny who can lovingly set boundaries, maintain structure, and confidently take the lead with young children.
A proactive mentality is particularly important. The right person doesn’t need to wait to be told what to do and will naturally look around, anticipate what the children or household need, and jump in.
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced with newborns, toddlers, and preschool-age children
Warm, loving, patient, and emotionally attuned

Proactive and able to anticipate needs

Confident caring for multiple young children
Comfortable working alongside a parent in the home
Equally comfortable taking complete ownership when parents are unavailable
Organized and able to manage the moving pieces of a busy household

Interested in becoming a trusted, long-term part of the family’s household
Childcare Responsibilities
Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for the children
Confidently care for a newborn, toddler, and young preschool/school-age child
Actively engage the children through conversation, play, outings, reading, and age-appropriate activities
Encourage independence while providing appropriate structure and boundaries
Assist with school and activity pickups and transportation
Help manage afternoon and evening routines
Prepare or assist with children’s meals and snacks
Maintain a calm, organized environment while juggling the needs of multiple young children
Communicate openly with parents regarding the children’s days, routines, and needs
Family Assistance Responsibilities
Children’s laundry
Children’s dishes and kitchen cleanup
Tidying and organizing children’s spaces
Helping reset the home after the children’s activities and meals
Light dinner preparation and family meal support, particularly for a full-time candidate
Occasional errands
Helping keep children’s belongings, supplies, and schedules organized
Occasionally feeding the family’s Golden Retriever or wiping paws as needed
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
