THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Poppy Family!

About the Family

This warm, outdoorsy, and community-minded family splits their time between Berkeley and Truckee and is looking for a wonderful nanny to grow with them. They are active, on the go, and deeply value quality time outdoors, whether that is exploring nature, traveling, or being involved in their local community. Their toddler is energetic and curious, and they plan to expand their family in the future, so they are hoping to find someone who truly enjoys supporting children from the infant stage through the toddler years and beyond.

Their lifestyle is dynamic and full, moving between their East Bay and Tahoe homes and occasionally traveling domestically and internationally. They describe themselves as a loving and easygoing family, yet busy, and they appreciate someone who can keep pace with their rhythm while bringing calm, positivity, and professionalism to the home. Privacy, trust, and autonomy are very important to them, and they value a nanny who communicates clearly, takes initiative, and takes pride in their work.

They can offer a live-in option at either location when needed, though the role is primarily live out. For example, a nanny based in the East Bay could stay with the family in Tahoe, or a Tahoe-based nanny could stay with them while they are in Berkeley. The goal is to create a comfortable, long-term partnership that supports everyone’s lifestyle.

Their Ideal Candidate

Their ideal nanny is active, flexible, and genuinely loves being outdoors with children. This person has solid experience with young toddlers and feels confident growing with a family over time. They are warm, engaging, and proactive, and they enjoy being part of a busy household where no two weeks look the same.

A background in prior private homes and some Family Assistant experience is highly valued. The family would love someone who is comfortable helping with the flow of the household, travel logistics, and child-related organization. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team mindset will go a long way in this role.

Flexibility is key, as the schedule will average 30 plus hours per week with additional hours and overtime during travel periods. Someone who is adaptable and travel-ready will thrive here.
