About the Family
A warm, grounded family based in Laurel Heights is seeking a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant to join them as they enter an exciting new chapter with a baby arriving in early July. They have two bright, independent daughters (ages 5 and 9) who are both in school and active with after-school activities and summer camps.
This is a well-run, communicative household where both parents work from home part of the week and value a collaborative, respectful relationship with their nanny. The role will naturally evolve, beginning with a blend of support for the older children and preparing for the newborn, then shifting to include more infant care while the older girls are in school.
The family is open to either a live-out candidate or a Monday–Friday live-in arrangement, with a private ADU available beginning in the fall. They are seeking someone long-term who can grow with their family and bring a steady, professional presence to their home.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who brings both warmth and structure to the home. Someone who is confident in supporting a newborn while also engaging school-aged children with ease, balancing nurturing care with age-appropriate expectations and independence.
They are looking for a nanny who is proactive, reliable, and highly organized, with a calm, capable energy. A strong communicator who can partner closely with parents, anticipate needs, and comfortably manage the flow of the day.
Experience with both infants and older children is important, as is a long-term mindset and a stable, thoughtful approach to the role. Flexibility for occasional overnights and a willingness to travel are appreciated.
Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
• Supporting morning routines and school drop-offs
• Afternoon pickups and activity coordination
• Engaging children in age-appropriate activities and play
• Supporting homework and evening routines
• Providing attentive newborn care, including feeding, soothing, and developmental support
• Balancing care between infant and school-aged children as needs evolve
Family Assistant Duties
• Children’s laundry and organization
• Light tidying related to the children
• Meal prep for the children and occasional family support
• Managing schedules, supplies, and general household flow
• Supporting a smooth day-to-day rhythm for the family
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
