THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Peony Family!

About the Family

This lovely family in the Marina is seeking a professional and dedicated nanny to support their growing household. They are parents to a two-month-old baby and a twenty-eight-month-old toddler who attends school Monday through Thursday for three hours each day. Mom stays at home while completing her master’s program, and Dad maintains a demanding work schedule with frequent travel. Their home rhythm is full and active, and they are looking for a nanny who can bring steady, focused care, warmth, and organization into their daily flow.

Education and development are very important to this family. They value creativity, curiosity, reading, and intentional engagement with their children. They also care deeply about privacy, professionalism, and discretion. They aim to provide a warm and respectful work environment while maintaining clear expectations around attentiveness, organization, and reliability. This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely enjoys newborn and toddler care and takes pride in running a well-ordered home.

For the near term, the family has a backup nanny supporting their newborn and would like to continue with that arrangement until she is around six months old. Because of this, the primary focus of the new role will initially be on their toddler, with the intention of transitioning the nanny into caring for both children once their infant is ready. Flexibility is important, as there will be occasional weeks when their toddler is home sick or when school is closed (such as winter break). During those times, the family will need full‑day coverage starting at 8:00 a.m., and school holidays should be approached similarly.

The weekly schedule is as follows: Monday–Thursday: 11:00 a.m.–6:0 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

This is a guaranteed 40‑hour paid position. Even though the weekly schedule does not total 40 hours, the remaining hours can be used for additional support such as date nights, weekend coverage, or other needs based on the nanny’s and family’s preferences.

Their Ideal Candidate

Their ideal nanny is calm, energetic, and highly engaged with children. Someone who can provide full focus and attentive care, create enriching play experiences, and support developmental milestones. They are confident caring for a newborn and a toddler, comfortable managing school pickups and activities, and at ease driving when needed. They are naturally organized, tidy, and proactive, noticing what needs to be done and taking initiative.

Professionalism and discretion are essential. The family is looking for someone who respects privacy, limits personal phone use during work hours, communicates clearly, and treats this role with care and integrity. Experience with toddlers, newborns, and childhood asthma is appreciated.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a professional nanny who values attentive childcare, organization, discretion, and long-term partnership with a thoughtful and engaged family.
