Currently, we are seeking an exceptional full-time nanny/family assistant to provide caring support for our two boys, aged 9 and 13. This role offers an incredible opportunity to become an integral part of our family, working collaboratively with us to ensure our children's well-being and growth.

We are pleased to offer a guaranteed 30-35 hours per week, providing flexibility within the following schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm/2:00 pm to 6:30 pm/7:00 pm. Please note that Thursdays will have a 12:30 pm start time. We understand the importance of work-life balance and strive to create a schedule that accommodates both our family's needs and the nanny's well-being.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. If you are a dedicated and energetic nanny seeking a fulfilling long-term position with a supportive and caring family, we would love to hear from you. To apply, please submit your resume, along with a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why you believe you would be a great fit for our family.

To ensure a smooth transition and convenient logistics, we will only consider candidates who are local to the SF Bay Area for this role. Given the nature of the position as non-live-in and without relocation assistance, it is essential that applicants already reside within the local area.

We look forward to welcoming a wonderful nanny into our home and creating a warm and nurturing environment for our children.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for our boys, maintaining a safe and engaging environment.

  • Support the family by managing household tasks, including maintaining the family calendar and assisting with light housekeeping duties.

  • Coordinate and accompany the boys to their activities, ensuring they are punctual and well-prepared.

  • Maintain a well-organized schedule, staying on top of the children's daily needs and commitments.

  • Foster a positive and fun atmosphere while upholding discipline and structure suitable for older school-age children.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with older school-age children, demonstrating a deep understanding of their unique needs and developmental stages.

  • Excellent organizational skills, allowing for efficient management of household tasks and schedules.

  • A reliable and responsible individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and maintain open communication with the family.

  • A valid driver's license and comfortable using your own car for transportation. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

  • A long-term mindset, as we hope for our nanny to grow with our family and transition between childcare and family assistant duties as our children mature.

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

  1. Strong English communication skills: Effective communication is essential for maintaining a clear and open dialogue with our family and children.

  2. Strong references from past employers: We value the insights and feedback from previous employers to assess a candidate's reliability, professionalism, and ability to provide exceptional care.

  3. Local candidates in the SF Bay Area only: As this is not a live-in position and we do not offer relocation assistance, we are specifically seeking candidates who are already residing in the SF Bay Area.

  4. Willingness to pass two background checks: The safety and security of our children are paramount. Therefore, candidates must be willing to undergo both Trustline and Nanny Verify background checks.

  5. U.S. Citizen / Work Authorization: Candidates must possess valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  6. CPR and First Aid Certification: Prior certification in CPR and First Aid is necessary to handle potential emergencies and ensure the well-being of our children.
