THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Gardenia Family!

About the Family

A warm and busy family in Presidio Heights, conveniently located near Laurel Village, is looking for an experienced Nanny / Family Assistant to join their household and help care for their three children, ages 11, 7, and 3.

With three children at very different stages, the family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with children as individuals and knows how to shift naturally between the needs of a preschooler, a school-age child, and an older child. Much of the one-on-one time will be spent with their youngest, while the afternoons and evenings become more dynamic as the older children return from school and activities.

This is a child-focused role with a Family Assistant component. The family would love someone who enjoys cooking, is naturally organized, and is happy to pitch in with the day-to-day tasks that keep a busy household with three children running smoothly.

The family also works with another nanny, so being collaborative, communicative, and comfortable working as part of a childcare team is important.

Their Ideal Candidate

Their ideal candidate is warm, engaging, outgoing, and genuinely loves being around children. They are looking for someone with a thoughtful approach to childcare who understands that an 11-year-old, 7-year-old, and 3-year-old each need something very different from their caregiver.

This person can easily move between age groups, whether that means engaging the youngest in imaginative play, helping one of the older children get where they need to go, or simply knowing when an older child needs a little more independence.

A strong candidate will be organized and proactive while also bringing a calm, loving presence to the home. They should be comfortable maintaining routines, setting appropriate boundaries, communicating openly with parents, and working collaboratively with another nanny.

Someone who enjoys cooking will be especially appreciated, as preparing dinner for the children will be an important part of the afternoon routine.

The family is hoping to find someone who is interested in becoming a trusted, long-term part of their household.

Responsibilities

• Picking up the youngest child from preschool and helping her transition home for quiet time, play, and afternoon activities

• Creating a nurturing and engaging environment through creative play, outdoor activities, conversation, and age-appropriate experiences

• Helping with school and activity transportation for the older children, including occasional drop-offs and pick-ups

• Preparing healthy, family-friendly dinners for the children

• Supporting afternoon and evening routines

• Keeping track of the children’s schedules and helping ensure everyone is prepared and where they need to be

• Children’s light laundry and maintaining organized bedrooms, play areas, belongings, and frequently used spaces

• Occasional errands and other child-related Family Assistant tasks

• Maintaining open communication with the parents regarding schedules, activities, and important updates

• Working collaboratively and respectfully with the family’s other nanny

• Providing occasional weekend, overnight, and travel support when mutually agreed upon
