THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Gardenia Family!

About the Family

A warm, grounded, and thoughtful family in the Oakland Hills is seeking a long-term career nanny to become a valued part of their household for many years to come. They are a respectful, collaborative family with three children, including a newborn baby girl, and they deeply value the role a professional nanny plays in supporting both the children and the overall rhythm of the home.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny seeking stability, longevity, and a role that will naturally evolve alongside a growing family. The parents are looking for someone they can truly partner with long-term — someone who brings calm energy, emotional intelligence, warmth, and confidence, caring for children across very different developmental stages. Their older children are active and involved in after-school activities, while the baby is currently the primary daytime focus. Mom works from home on Fridays, and the family values open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect.

The family enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and getting away to Arnold whenever possible. They are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys becoming part of the fabric of a family’s daily life and who is excited about building strong relationships over time.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced career nanny with significant infant and newborn experience who also feels comfortable and confident engaging older children. This family is looking for someone nurturing and loving with the baby, while also playful, engaging, and able to connect naturally with their energetic 8-year-old son and independent preteen daughter.

They would love to find someone with a calming presence, strong emotional intelligence, and excellent organizational skills. Because the role involves balancing multiple schedules, school pickups, extracurricular activities, and evolving household needs, the right candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and highly dependable.

A collaborative mindset is very important to this family. They are looking for someone who communicates openly, enjoys working as part of a parenting team, and values building a long-term partnership. Flexibility, professionalism, warmth, and a genuine love of childcare are essential.
