I’m a sister to 11 siblings ( I’m a 3rd child out of 12 children in my family ). I’m a mother of 2 daughters, ages 31 & 19. My oldest daughter is a psychologist, and is engaged & my youngest daughter is a High School Senior & 4th yr. In Water Polo, at Acalanes , & soon to go off to college-
I originally moved from Southeastern Cal to the Bay Area , which most all my family stilL live in Southern California. My true passion it’s writing, swimming, Reading, and cooking, and much enjoy learning of other cultures- I been fortunate to have taken a year sabbaticals, lived in Peru (6 mo) & have Traveled to many European countries with my job and on my own.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
I believe that Children & Pets are the Best! Beings to be around- other then i just naturally love children, & enjoy the family ambiance, as I grew up with 11 siblings, (zone mother , one father) all under one roof

My style of Nannying it’s more of a Mentor- Coach/‘Guiding-Teacher’. I most value open communication, & I naturally enjoy & take advantage of every opportunity to enhance & enrich the child’s learning experience, (age appropriate) whether it’s at home, from grooming etiquette routine, to having fun making a smoothie/cooking, or doing crafts, or taking them on outings to explore nature outdoors, to strengthen their motor skills & expand their mind -I also enjoy being in a Nanny Role, as a ‘Family Support -Team Player’, that supports all Members of family, by contributing with all my skills & knowledge, (where help it’s needed, at that particular given time) from organizing, cooking, trip to the grocery store & light chores around the house-

I’m very playful yet firm in eliciting their cooperation - however I believe that disciplining it’s for parents, not nannys, as children emotionally respond best from those who they love and trust and know well
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
The expectation some parents have, of me & their young children cleaning a large playroom, with the cooperation of their children (after weekend/days toys left out ) accumulated toys, becoming a project, that deserves & requires much more time to accomplish such task. As a separate project/Job, as children don’t have the patience to do, nor Nanny might have the time while attending to the children
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?
Love the outdoors, and Writing, Swimming, Cooking, attending live performances & visiting different Libraries, parks & farmers markets
