I believe... In helping a child express emotion and understanding what they are going through

I believe... In creating a stable routine for the children in a safe and fun environment

PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:

I have a lot of patience. Watching children in reaching their milestones and assisting them in becoming the best versions of themselves is so rewarding even when the days are not easy. I am a motivated person who loves helping families in my best ability. I am very passionate about exploring and doing activities on a daily basis with children like going to the zoo, Academy of Sciences, etc. I am very flexible person with scheduling, with date nights, vacations, and overnights. I am a go getter when it comes to helping around the house with light household chores. I am self-educated with teaching children and early childhood development and will continue to grow in education and knowledge of infants and toddlers. I am always excited with working with new families and always had positive experiences with each and every family I worked with in the past.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?

Being a nanny is the most fulling job. I realized that my love for working with children started when I helped my mother who was a nanny. I had the most joy watching the children light up with joy! At the age of 18, I started working date nights to part time and eventually fulltime. The idea of working with children always came naturally to me. It's so great to hear parents say thank you for giving the love and care to their children.

WHAT IS YOUR COMMUNICATION STYLE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR EMPLOYERS? ANY EXAMPLES TO SHARE?

I usually have open and direct communication with my employers. I do the best that I can to respond to parents when given a free moment. I am fine with any communication my employer is comfortable with (email, group text or in person). With a new outing to a new location, I would always ask for permission first from my employers and give daily updates with photos and videos of the children. Also on overnights, I will reach out the parents if they are available to facetime before the children's bedtime.

WHAT TYPE OF NANNY ROLE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AND WHAT ENVIRONMENT YOU WOULD BE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN

Based on my experience I work well with families that have full trust in what I do with everyday activities and in my ability to help their children during moments when they are struggling. I respect the parents in what they need and follow instructions and they respect in what I do. I do believe it's important we all communicate because it is a team effort.

I'm looking for a family that is understanding and can grow as a team. It's also important to me to find a family that will have me around for at least two years and more. It is important to communicate at all times and to make sure that I am not just a nanny but someone important to their children's lives.

PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW YOU HAVE TAKEN INITIATIVE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?

It's important for to make quick decisions as a nanny. For example, when a child is having a difficult time while a parent is busy, I take initiative by finding a new setting for the child to distract them. I do my best in helping families with organization and helping maintain a household if and when needed. I take initiative in helping change old toys and clothes that the children have outgrown.

WHAT ARE YOUR DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY AND CHILD-REARING VALUES?

I believe children are allowed to have fun and explore boundaries in a respectful and kind way. My discipline philosophy is to be firm with certain boundaries yet be kind and offer solutions to children. I always work with the parents with what they believe would be best for their child because not every child is the same.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?

Although each and every family have been a pleasure to work with, my biggest challenge as a nanny has been adapting to the parent's schedule as their life changes. Although I am willing to adjust in working lots of hours, it's important to have a break that way, I can be the best that I can be for your child.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?

I enjoy traveling to new places and exploring! I enjoy daily exercise including hiking and running. Teaching children sports is the best! I love going to the zoo and coloring.

WHAT MAKES YOU SPARKLE?

What makes me sparkle is my optimistic personality as well my drive to do better and to be better than I was the day before. Thinking of new things and to always have fun while doing it. Parents can see this about me when their children smile with me and when I arrive at the door.
