MEET NANNY: IlSE
Full-Time - San Francisco
As the oldest of four children and more than twenty cousins, I have spent my life surrounded by young children. I embraced a nurturing role at an early age, always enthusiastically volunteering to care for my little siblings and cousins. My parents warmly opened up our home to several foster children, and eventually adopted two of my siblings. This gave me a firsthand understanding of how tender, attentive care can positively impact a child's life, particularly for children who have faced adversity. Growing up in this environment sparked a passion for childcare in me at a young age, and it continues to guide my approach as a professional nanny.
My approach to nannying is warm, patient, and respectful. I am a deeply empathetic person, and I believe that children thrive when they feel seen, heard, and valued. I strive to foster an environment in which children can safely express themselves, explore their interests, and develop at their own pace. I prioritize gentle guidance, active listening, and age-appropriate autonomy, always adapting my methods to each child’s individual needs and personality.
Equally important to me is strong communication and collaboration with parents. I see nannying as a true partnership—one where open dialogue, shared goals, and mutual respect create the best outcomes for children. I strive to provide clear, thoughtful updates; listen carefully to a family’s priorities; and work together to support routines, values, and developmental goals. My goal is to be someone families feel they can trust wholeheartedly: a dependable, proactive caregiver who supports both the children and the household as a whole.
