Hello! As someone who has worked in childcare, education, and support services settings, I continue to find that the work I connect with and enjoy the most is childcare. Working with children has been a consistent bright light in my life, and I take immense pride in nurturing children in their development and growth. I love to incorporate my hobbies and values into my work, such as spending time outdoors and enjoying nature by walking through parks or beaches, swimming, gardening, dancing, enjoying live theater, art, and crafting. I will also find it incredibly valuable to connect with your little ones through their interests, interactive play, and exploration!

Child Development: No, but I have worked as an Assistant Preschool Teacher for ages 6 months - 5 years old.
Compensation: $40-$45
Preferred Schedule: Full-Time, open to 30-45 hours/week.

I believe... in maintaining open communication between your family and me. My experience working with children and families has taught me that establishing clear boundaries and expectations from the beginning, while maintaining an open and evolving dialogue, is the primary ingredient for a successful and sustainable dynamic. I also value this belief in my work with children, as I strongly believe that children equally deserve respectful, open communication and understanding. By establishing this value from the beginning, I hope to develop a positive rapport and mutually respectful relationship with you and your children, so I may provide a reliable, supportive, and trusted presence in your lives.
I believe... in encouraging every child to express themselves freely. As children grow through their different developmental stages, I wholly believe in supporting them as they try new things, learn from their mistakes, and continuously develop their sense of self. My biggest joy working in childcare is witnessing children develop their own ideas about the world and discover their passions. It's a great privilege to support children's growth and development, so I will always encourage your child's curiosity about the world, oneself, and others.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
Working with children continues to be my favorite job I've ever had. My heart is deeply connected to this work and I believe that my professional experiences from working in public health and education have given me so many skills that translate to my approach to this work today. I've enjoyed developing supportive relationships with families and value the opportunity to be a supportive figure in your home.

While working in childcare, I believe my patience, curiosity, and playfulness are the traits that I use the most while doing this work. I believe this work requires consistent patience and empathy, especially when interacting with children. I've found it repeatedly beneficial to be grounded in patience while spending time with children, as they are constantly navigating brand new situations and feelings, and are often looking for patient and supportive figures around them to lean on in unfamiliar circumstances. I also believe that my curious and playful spirit allows me to connect with children in a genuine way. While I am happy to stand by and create space for a child to engage with their friends and peers, I am always ready to join in on games, imaginative play, and exploration as well!
