MEET NANNY: ABIGAIL
Full-Time - San Francisco
Hi! I’m someone who genuinely loves being around kids and getting to be part of their everyday world. I have a background in childcare and a degree in Elementary Education, but more than anything, I bring a lot of patience, energy, and heart into the families I work with. I really value building strong and trusting relationships, not just with the children, but with parents too.
I would describe my style as playful, calm, and dependable. I love getting kids outside, doing crafts, reading stories, and finding fun ways to turn everyday moments into something engaging. I am also a certified lifeguard and love all things water! I was a college lacrosse and Ice hockey player, so I am very active and love all sorts of sports and activities. I’m also very organized and proactive. I like to stay one step ahead, keep things running smoothly, and make life a little easier for the parents. Little things like keeping spaces tidy, planning activities, or anticipating what’s needed next are really important to me.
Outside of work, I love staying active, spending time outdoors, and being creative, which naturally carries over into how I spend time with kids. Overall, I’m someone who truly cares about what I do, and I’m looking to become a meaningful and reliable part of a family’s life, not just a helper, but someone your kids feel safe, happy, and excited to be around.

MY BELIEFS AS A GENUINE NANNY
I believe... every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and heard. I strive to create an environment where children can confidently be themselves.
I believe... a great nanny becomes a trusted extension of the family by being reliable, attentive, and genuinely invested.
I believe... in building strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents to create a supportive and consistent environment.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
I want to be a nanny because I genuinely enjoy working with children and being part of their day-to-day growth and development. I love building real connections with kids and getting to know their personalities. I love being someone they feel safe, comfortable, and happy around.
This industry means a lot to me because it’s so personal and relationship-based. It’s not just about childcare, but it’s about becoming a trusted part of a family’s support system. I really value being able to help create a stable and positive environment where both children and parents feel supported. For me, being a nanny feels meaningful and rewarding because I get to make a real difference in small everyday moments while helping kids learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves.
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:
I’d describe myself as warm, easygoing, and really patient. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being around kids and getting to know their personalities. I like to find out what makes them laugh, what they’re curious about, and how they see the world. I try to create a calm, positive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves, while also being supported and guided when they need it.
One of my biggest strengths is balancing fun with structure. I love being playful, doing crafts, being outside, and making up games, but I also know how important routines and consistency are for kids. I’m pretty intuitive and attentive, so I pick up on what a child needs and adjust my approach to match their personality and mood.
When it comes to work ethic, I’m very reliable and like to stay on top of things. I don’t like to just do the bare minimum. I naturally try to go a step further, whether that’s keeping things organized, planning, or helping out in ways that make a family’s day easier. I’m also a big communicator and think it’s really important to be on the same page as parents.
My values are really centered around kindness, respect, and trust. I want kids to feel safe, confident, and encouraged, while also positively learning boundaries and responsibility. At the end of the day, I really care about what I do, and I want to be someone both kids and parents feel comfortable, supported, and happy to have around.
