Meet Our Tulip Family!
About the Family:
This Los Altos family is full of heart. With a thoughtful, grounded mom at home and two sweet, engaging kids, a 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son—they’re looking to welcome someone who can become part of the rhythm of their home. Their previous nanny built a deep bond with the children and is still cherished, and the family hopes to find someone who brings that same sense of connection, presence, and care. They live a vibrant, family-centered life and are seeking a long-term collaborator who’s excited to join the ride.
Their Ideal Candidate:
This family would thrive with a nanny/family assistant who brings warmth, consistency, and playful energy into their home. Someone who naturally models responsibility, gently supports emotional development, and enjoys engaging with kids in a way that feels like a trusted big sister or fun aunt. A proactive and confident communicator who can guide the kids in daily routines, encourage independence, and support the family’s overall flow. Flexibility and a long-term mindset are essential.
Responsibilities:
Provide after-school care 2–3 afternoons per week
Support one weekend day (flexible based on availability)
Engage the children in fun, meaningful play
Help guide emotional regulation and interpersonal skills
Support light household tasks: tidying, laundry, organizing
Help model responsibility and independence (e.g., clean-up routines)
Occasional errands or family assistant support as needed
Build a strong, respectful connection with the children and parents
Be open to a flexible schedule and long-term commitment
Must-Have Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Impressive references from past employers
Willingness to undergo background checks and DMV check (Must have a clean DMV report!)
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
