THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Forget Me Not Family!

About the Family:

Our warm and welcoming Russian-American family in Pacific Heights is looking for an experienced, proactive, and creative nanny to join their household as a full-time nanny. They have a sweet 2.5-year-old and a baby, and both parents work from home and enjoy being very hands-on. The household is active and collaborative, with grandparents also lending a hand. This is a team-oriented role for a nanny who enjoys supporting parents and grandparents while also creating space for them to connect with their children.

Their Ideal Candidate:

The ideal nanny is a true professional—confident, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable about early childhood development. You know how to balance structure with flexibility, and you’re able to read the room—jumping in when needed and stepping back when appropriate. You take pride in creating thoughtful routines, organizing play-based learning activities, and contributing positively to a household. You’re also comfortable supporting the family with general organization, light tidying, and managing child-related tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Full care of the toddler and infant during working hours

  • Supporting developmental milestones and planning age-appropriate activities

  • Preparing bottles, managing routines, and keeping child areas tidy

  • Assisting with light household duties related to the children (laundry, basic organization, etc.)

  • Coordinating with parents and grandparents in a respectful, team-based environment

  • Helping manage vendors and other household staff as needed

  • Being available for travel and occasional overnight care

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a nanny

  • Infant and toddler care experience with strong developmental knowledge

  • Flexible and reliable with the ability to commit long-term (1–3+ years)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to travel and work overnights as needed

  • Comfortable with a hypoallergenic dog in the home

  • Local candidates only (live-out position)

Responsibilities:

  • High flexibility and availability to work overnights and travel

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children, encouraging their development through outdoor activities, creative play, and interactive imagination.

  • Manage the children's daily schedule, including school drop-offs and pick-ups, ensuring they are punctual and well-prepared.

  • Maintain open and thoughtful communication with the parents, keeping them informed about the children's activities, milestones, and any important updates.

  • Assist with light organization and tidying of the children's surroundings, while acknowledging that deep cleaning and meal preparation are taken care of by additional help.

  • Establish and maintain good boundaries with the children, fostering a nurturing and loving atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of previous experience working as a Lead or Rotational Nanny

  • Demonstrated experience working with young school-age children, showcasing a genuine passion for their well-being and development.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively, ensuring a smooth daily routine.

  • Excellent communication skills, enabling clear and open dialogue with both children and parents.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the family's needs and routines, catering to their unique requirements and preferences.

  • Desire for a long-term commitment, with a willingness to stay with the family for at least 1-3+ years.

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of recent professional experience in childcare.

  2. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  3. Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.

  4. Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.

  5. Passport & Travel Ready!

  6. Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

  7. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  8. CPR certification (if applicable).

  9. Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination and boosters.
