THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Sweet Pea Family!

About the Family

A warm, welcoming family in beautiful Hillsborough is looking for a thoughtful, organized Nanny / Family Assistant to become an important part of their family’s daily routine. They have two wonderful boys, ages 4 and 7, and are hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys working with energetic children while bringing a calm, steady presence to the home.

Both parents have demanding careers with occasional travel approximately twice each month. They are looking for someone they can rely on to help afternoons run smoothly while providing consistency, encouragement, and support for their boys.

The family also has a beloved live-in nanny who has cared for the children since they were babies. She primarily speaks Mandarin and focuses on the children’s day-to-day care. This role is designed to complement her support by assisting with school pickups, homework, driving, organization, and family assistant responsibilities. Someone who enjoys collaborating as part of a team will thrive in this home.

Their two boys have very different personalities, and they are looking for someone who enjoys getting to know each child as an individual. Their older son takes a little longer to build trust and benefits from a patient, observant caregiver who understands that some children need extra reassurance and consistency. Someone with a background in child development, education, or experience supporting children with mild OCD or anxiety would be a wonderful fit. Above all, they hope to find someone who leads with compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand what each child needs to thrive.

The family spends several weeks each summer at their home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. While not required, they would love to find someone who would be open to joining them for part of those trips, or, if remaining local, they can accommodate a modified compensation plan while they are away for those 8 weeks.

Their Ideal Candidate

Their ideal nanny is patient, confident, and naturally organized. They understand that every child is different and appreciate someone who takes the time to build trust while also creating clear, consistent boundaries.

Their older son is thoughtful and takes a little longer to warm up, while their younger son is affectionate, easygoing, and full of energy. Like many brothers, they occasionally have disagreements, so they’re looking for someone with a calm demeanor, good judgment, and the confidence to navigate sibling dynamics with kindness and consistency.

They would love to find someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable wearing multiple hats throughout the afternoon. A great sense of humor, flexibility, and the ability to anticipate what needs to be done will make this person an invaluable part of the household.

A Mandarin speaker would be a wonderful bonus but is certainly not required.
