CHILDREN: A 3 year old and a 5 year old.
SALARY: $35-$40 per hour

Welcome to our cozy Cole Valley neighborhood in San Francisco! We are a loving family with two adorable school-age children, and we are excitedly searching for a nurturing and organized Nanny/Family Assistant to join our household. With both parents working full-time outside of the home, we value someone who can take a proactive role in caring for our children and managing household tasks during the day.
As our Nanny/Family Assistant, you will play a vital role in our family's daily routine. You will be responsible for drop-offs and pick-ups from school and extracurricular activities, as well as engaging our children in creative play and planning activities. When the children are in school, you will assist with various household duties, such as laundry, light cleaning, household management, and meal planning and preparation for the kids.

Childcare Duties:
School and extracurricular pick-up and drop-off, including occasional transportation for appointments and playdates.
Setting appropriate boundaries and engaging in creative play and activities.
Assisting with homework assignments or school projects (anticipated within the next year).
Household Duties:
Laundry processing, including washing, folding, and organizing clothes.
Light cleaning to maintain cleanliness throughout the house, with additional organization always welcome.
Kitchen clean-up after meal preparation, including loading and starting the dishwasher, handwashing as needed, and wiping down surfaces.
Household management, including organizing schedules and appointments, managing supplies, and grocery shopping when needed (responsibility can grow over time).
Coordinating meal planning and preparation for the children, including shopping for ingredients (responsibility can grow over time).
Nighttime Routine:
Leading the nighttime routine for the children, including bathing, dressing, and bedtime stories.
Ensuring the children are ready for bed and tucked in at the appropriate time.
Qualifications:
Experience working with young school-age children.
Excellent and safe driving skills, with a clean DMV record and city savvy (family car provided if needed).
Genuine passion for working with children.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to adapt to the family's needs and routines, as well as assist with various household tasks.
Looking for a long-term position with a 1-5 year commitment.
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience in a similar role.
Strong English communication skills.
Impressive references from past employers.
Willingness to pass two background checks (Trustline & Nanny Verify).
Ability to commit to a minimum of 1-3+ years.
U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
