About the Family
Our warm and thoughtful Sweet Pea family is based in Sea Cliff, seeking a long-term, full-time nanny for their two young boys, ages 2.5 years and 6 months. They are deeply family-oriented and truly enjoy spending time with their children, creating a home environment that feels connected, engaged, and full of warmth.
They value an active, outdoorsy lifestyle and prioritize getting the boys out into the world each day. From neighborhood playgrounds and park outings to museums like the California Academy of Sciences and the Bay Area Discovery Museum, their days are centered around exploration, movement, and learning through experience. At home, the boys love reading books, art, and imaginative play. Their older son is bright, curious, and energetic, while their younger baby has a calm, easygoing temperament.
Both parents work demanding roles with early mornings, so they would especially appreciate a nanny who is comfortable starting the day early and helping set a smooth, calm tone for the household. They have had a wonderful relationship with their current nanny, who has been with them since their first child was born, and they are hoping to find someone who can grow with their family in a similarly meaningful, long-term way.

A love for being outdoors and staying active is essential, as is comfort with driving the children to activities using the family car. Flexibility for occasional later evenings and potential travel is appreciated.
Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
• Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally supportive care for both children
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and exploration
• Prioritize daily outdoor time, including parks, playgrounds, and local outings
• Incorporate reading, art, and creative play into the daily rhythm
• Manage daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions
• Drive children to classes, activities, and outings using the family car
• Support preschool drop-off and pick-up schedule beginning in the fall
Family Assistant Duties (Child-Focused)
• Children’s laundry
• Tidying and organizing children’s areas
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and functional environment for the children
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
