THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Sunflower Family!
About the Family
Our warm and welcoming Sunflower Family is located in beautiful Mill Valley, Marin County. They are preparing to welcome their third child in the coming month and are looking for the right person to become an important part of their family’s support system during this exciting transition.
The family has two active and curious young children, ages 3.5 and 1.5, with a newborn arriving soon. They are seeking a nanny or family assistant who can bring energy, engagement, and a genuine love of working with young children. While they currently have childcare support, they have realized they would benefit from someone who is highly interactive, playful, and naturally inclined to connect with children through conversation, activities, exploration, and hands-on engagement.
Mom will be home on maternity leave initially, so they are looking for someone comfortable partnering with a parent who is present while also having the confidence to take initiative and independently lead the children’s day when needed.
The family is open to two potential structures depending on the candidate:
Option 1:
Part-Time Family Assistant / Nanny
Monday through Thursday 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Friday 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Approximately 25 guaranteed hours per week
Option 2:
Full-Time Nanny / Family Assistant
Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Approximately 50 guaranteed hours per week
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, energetic, and genuinely enjoys being active with young children. This family is looking for someone who naturally gets down on the floor to play, sparks conversation, encourages imagination, and creates meaningful interactions throughout the day.
They would love to find someone who understands the developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children and can confidently balance the varying needs of multiple children at different stages.
The right person will be proactive, organized, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and strong communication skills. They should feel comfortable working alongside parents while also being able to take ownership of routines, activities, and household support tasks independently.
A love for outdoor adventures, parks, playgrounds, walks, and active play is important. The family values curiosity, learning, kindness, and helping their children grow into confident and capable little people.
