About the Family
A kind, busy family in Menlo Park is seeking a warm and capable temporary nanny to support their household while their nanny is recovering from surgery. They have two young children, ages 2 years and 9 months, and are looking for someone who can step in seamlessly to provide attentive, nurturing care during this time. The family values reliability, a calm presence, and someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with young children.
Their Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced nanny who is confident caring for two young children and comfortable managing the rhythm of the day with both a toddler and infant. They are proactive, organized, and able to balance childcare with light family assistant support. This person brings a positive, can-do attitude, communicates clearly, and is happy to jump in where needed to help keep things running smoothly.
They are dependable, flexible, and understand the importance of consistency and warmth in a temporary role.
Responsibilities
Childcare Duties
• Providing attentive, age-appropriate care for a toddler and infant
• Managing daily routines including feeding, naps, and playtime
• Engaging the children in developmentally appropriate activities
• Supporting outings as appropriate
Family Assistant Duties
• Light tidying related to the children
• Children’s laundry
• Bottle prep and clean up
• Keeping common areas organized
• Occasional errands using the family car
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters. (must have)
A minimum of 4 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Current Infant/ Child CPR certification
