Meet Our Orchid Family!
About the Family
This active and multilingual family is relocating to Palo Alto from Denver and settling into a new home with extended family nearby. They have two bright and energetic girls, ages 4.5 and 6, who are curious, playful, and love being engaged in fun and creative ways. Mom works from home and Dad travels frequently for work, so they’re looking for an extra set of hands to help keep the household running smoothly during this transitional time. The home has plenty of space to explore, including a pool, and the family truly values warmth, flexibility, and support as they find their new rhythm in California.
Their Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is responsible, reliable, and confident with children—someone who’s comfortable stepping into a supportive role and taking initiative without needing much direction. They’re looking for a nanny who can build a sweet and steady rapport with the girls, help with after-school routines, and bring a calm and capable presence to their home. Spanish or German language skills would be a lovely plus, as the children are growing up in a trilingual household. A candidate who can offer light household help (like simple meal prep or tidying) and is comfortable around water would be a great match. Flexibility is key here, as the family’s needs may shift from week to week, and they truly appreciate someone who rolls with the punches and keeps things running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Engage the children in active, creative, and age-appropriate play
School pick-ups and driving to activities as needed
Light household support including simple cooking and tidying

Offer flexibility with schedule changes and additional hours when requested
Speak with the children in Spanish or German when possible
