THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Orchid Family!
About the Family
This warm, easygoing Pacifica family is seeking a long-term part-time nanny to become an important part of their daughters’ afternoons. Their two girls, (4.5 and 15 months) are active, curious, and full of personality. Their older daughter is heading into TK this fall and loves imaginative play, books, creativity, and engaging conversation, while their younger daughter is a happy toddler who joins the fun later in the afternoon after daycare.
The family would love to find someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with children and naturally creates connection through play, conversation, exploration, and fun. They envision afternoons filled with reading, outdoor adventures, creative projects, walks around the neighborhood, and plenty of opportunities for the girls to learn and grow through everyday experiences.
They describe themselves as down-to-earth, kind, and family-oriented. While Grandma lives in an in-law unit on the property, this role is very much independent and focused on creating a meaningful relationship with the children. Above all, they are looking for someone who will show up consistently, bring positive energy to the home, and become a trusted part of their family’s routine for years to come.
The position offers 25 guaranteed hours per week to start, with the potential to increase to up to 30 hours depending on the candidate and the family’s needs. The schedule will be Monday–Friday, 12:00 pm–5:00 pm, transitioning to 1:00 pm–6:00 pm once their little one begins TK.
The Ideal Candidate
This family is looking for someone who feels like their oldest daughter’s favorite preschool teacher. Someone warm, playful, engaging, and genuinely excited to spend time with children. They would love a nanny who gets down on the floor to play, encourages imagination and creativity, and creates afternoons that are active, fun, and memorable.
Their ideal candidate is dependable, patient, nurturing, and proactive. Someone who naturally balances structure with fun, can confidently care for two young children, and enjoys building strong relationships with both children and parents. A love for reading, imaginative play, outdoor activities, and child development will make someone especially successful in this role.
Most importantly, they are seeking someone who truly enjoys being present with children and understands the lasting impact a wonderful nanny can have on a child’s life.
