THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Orchid Family!

About the Family

A warm, welcoming family recently settled into their new home in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood is looking for a dependable, long-term Nanny / Family Assistant to become an important part of their family’s routine.

Their daughter is 5½ years old and will be starting kindergarten in September. She is bright, energetic, curious, and loves staying active. The family values kindness, consistency, and open communication, and they’re looking for someone who can provide a calm, reliable presence during the busiest parts of their day.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with school-aged children and appreciates building long-term relationships with a family. While the hours are part-time, the role is meaningful and offers the opportunity to truly become part of their support system.

Because both parents have demanding schedules, reliability is incredibly important. Having someone they can count on each morning to help their daughter start her day smoothly and arrive at school on time will make a tremendous difference for their family.

Their Ideal Candidate

Their ideal nanny is warm, dependable, organized, and naturally proactive. They are looking for someone who arrives on time every day, communicates well, and enjoys creating predictable routines that help children feel confident and successful.

Someone who speaks Spanish would be a wonderful bonus, as their daughter already has exposure to the language and the family hopes to continue encouraging bilingual development.

They would love someone who notices what needs to be done around the home without being asked and is happy to pitch in with light family assistant duties while keeping the focus on supporting their daughter.

A candidate with their own reliable vehicle is preferred, though taking Muni is also an option. The family provides parking if you choose to drive.

This position is a morning role or a split-shift role, with guaranteed hours Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM–8:30 AM (10 guaranteed hours per week). For candidates seeking additional hours, the family is happy to offer optional afternoon support from 3:00 PM–5:00 PM. This flexibility allows the right candidate to increase their weekly hours if desired.
