THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Orchid Family!
About The Family
A warm and welcoming family in Mill Valley, just minutes from downtown, is seeking a long-term nanny to support their two young children and growing family. They have a six-year-old son and an almost four-year-old daughter, and are expecting a new baby this fall. Their current nanny, who has been with them for three years, is leaving to return to school, and they are hoping to find another wonderful person to become a trusted part of their household.
Both parents are entrepreneurs who commute to San Francisco and travel periodically for work. They value open communication and give their nanny a high level of autonomy while maintaining a collaborative, respectful working relationship. The family is organized and thoughtful, and they truly appreciate a nanny who takes pride in their work and creates a positive rhythm to the day. They are hoping to find someone who will stay with them long-term and grow alongside their family.
The role is designed around a split schedule with morning and afternoon responsibilities. Mornings focus on preparing the children for school and helping the household start the day smoothly, while afternoons include activity transportation, homework support, and evening routines. The family does not require travel but does offer generous time off during extended vacations. A live-in option may be available in a private ADU once completed.
Their Ideal Candidate
Their ideal nanny is experienced, organized, and highly reliable with a long-term mindset. They are proactive, professional, and confident taking ownership of the daily routine. The family values someone who brings authentic joy and warmth to their work and who naturally engages with children in a positive and encouraging way. They hope to find a nanny who helps the children return home feeling happy, secure, and well guided.
Flexibility is important, as the position includes a split schedule and occasional evening and overnight coverage. The right candidate will be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and maintaining a steady rhythm for the household. Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude are especially important to the parents.
The family has historically hired energetic candidates who enjoy staying active with children, but they are open to anyone who truly loves what they do and approaches the role with professionalism and care. Native English fluency is preferred for the long-term nanny role.
