About the Family
A vibrant, active family in Laurel Heights is seeking a dedicated nanny/family assistant to support their three lively daughters, aged 3, 6, and 8. The family values kindness, inclusivity, hard work, and good character. They believe in providing a structured yet joyful environment for their children. The household includes a dog, so comfort with pets is essential.
Their Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and proactive, with a positive, upbeat, and can-do attitude. Experience with school-age children is important, and the ability to assist with homework is essential. Comfort with pets is a must, as the family includes a dog.
Responsibilities
Pick up children from school and transport them to after-school activities.
Driving is essential; a family car is provided.
Assist with homework, help kids plan their workload, and encourage responsibility for their personal belongings
Maintain consistent daily routines, including transitions, meals, and bedtime
Help around the home with tasks like laundry, tidying common areas, and organizing as needed
Create a safe, supportive, structured environment
Occasionally cover “date nights” or weekend coverage with advanced notice
Requirements
3-5 + years of childcare experience, ideally with school-aged children
Teaching, tutoring, or similar youth-focused background strongly preferred
Must-Have Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Impressive references from past employers
Willingness to undergo background checks and DMV check
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination and boosters.
