POSITION: Part-Time Nanny/Family Assistant
SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM/3:30 PM- 7:00 PM
One evening per week: Extended coverage until approximately 11:00 PM for date night
THREE CHILDREN: 6-year-old twin girls and a 9-year-old girl
SALARY: $45-$50 + 20-25 Hours Guaranteed + PTO

ABOUT THE FAMILY
A warm, creative family in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood is seeking an experienced and highly dependable Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant to support their busy household and three school-aged daughters, ages 9 and 6-year-old twins.
The family has been fortunate to have the same beloved nanny for the past nine years, and as she transitions into a full-time position with another family, they are looking for someone wonderful to become their next long-term partner.
Their daughters are sweet, artistic, easygoing, and accustomed to having caregivers in their lives. All three attend school in the Mission and have active afternoon schedules filled with ballet, soccer, music, and other activities.
With Mom returning to work after a year-long sabbatical, the family is looking for someone who can confidently step into the rhythm of their afternoons while also supporting a thoughtful Family Assistant behind the scenes.
A family car can be provided.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is warm, dependable, proactive, and exceptionally organized. This family deeply values punctuality and reliability and is looking for someone who takes genuine ownership of their role.
They would love someone who can look ahead at the week, anticipate what the children and household will need, and take initiative without waiting to be asked. The right person enjoys working with school-aged children and is equally comfortable engaging with the girls, navigating a busy afternoon schedule, and tackling Family Assistant projects independently.
Because there are three children with different activities and schedules, strong logistical and time-management skills are important. Someone calm, capable, and flexible who enjoys making family life run more smoothly would thrive in this position.
Most importantly, the family hopes to find someone who is looking for a meaningful, stable position and who can become a trusted part of their family over time.
CHILD RELATED DUTIES
School pickups and afternoon transportation
Driving children to ballet, soccer, music, and other activities
Managing activity schedules and afternoon logistics
Engaging with the children and supporting their after-school routines
Preparing snacks and simple meals as needed
Helping children prepare for activities and ensuring necessary gear and supplies are organized
Keeping backpacks, school items, and activity supplies organized
Supporting homework and school-related needs as appropriate
Child-related tidying and organization
Providing evening care during the family’s weekly date night
FAMILY ASSISTANT DUTIES
Family Assistant responsibilities will be incorporated into the position, particularly during time before school pickup or on lighter activity days. Duties may include:
Family errands and returns
Household and family organization
Preparing for the children’s weekly activities
Keeping frequently used family spaces organized and reset
Managing children’s gear, supplies, and seasonal needs
Light grocery or household purchasing
Helping the family stay ahead of the week rather than simply responding to what needs to be done that day
Other reasonable household support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior professional nanny and/or Family Assistant experience
Experience confidently caring for multiple school-aged children
Excellent driving record and comfortable navigating San Francisco
Highly reliable, punctual, and communicative
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proactive, self-directed, and able to anticipate needs
Comfortable balancing childcare with Family Assistant responsibilities
Warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoys school-aged children
Flexible and able to adapt as schedules change
Seeking a stable, long-term position
REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong professional references
Prior professional nanny experience
Ability to confidently manage school pickups and transportation
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to make a long-term commitment
