SALARY: $45 + Guaranteed Hours + PTO Package

About the Family
A warm, loving family who recently relocated from Boston to San Francisco is looking for a wonderful long-term Nanny / Family Assistant for their spunky and outgoing 6-year-old daughter.
Their daughter is entering first grade at SF Day School and is active, social, and full of personality. She loves being outdoors, exploring, doing activities, and spending time with friends. Having recently moved across the country, she is also navigating a big transition and leaving behind the friends, family, and familiar routines she has known her whole life.
The family would love to find someone who can help her find her footing in San Francisco and make this new city feel like home. Someone who knows SF well, enjoys getting out and about, and can introduce her to activities, parks, neighborhoods, playdates, and all the fun that comes with growing up in the city would be especially wonderful.
Both parents work downtown and have a casual, welcoming household. They are currently living in Pacific Heights while they search for a permanent home in San Francisco.
Their Ideal Candidate
Their ideal candidate is active, social, engaging, and genuinely enjoys spending time with a bright and extroverted 6-year-old. They are looking for someone thoughtful and emotionally intuitive who recognizes that moving across the country is a big transition for a child and can provide both consistency and a sense of adventure.
A strong knowledge of San Francisco would be a wonderful asset. This person should enjoy planning outings, facilitating friendships and playdates, exploring the city, and helping their daughter build a fun and fulfilling life in her new hometown.
A safe and confident driver is important. Having a reliable vehicle is preferred, although the family can provide a car if needed.
The family is also happy to offer additional hours to a candidate who enjoys Family Assistant responsibilities and would like to help keep the household running smoothly.
Responsibilities
School pickup and transportation to afternoon activities
Planning engaging outings, activities, and playdates
Helping their daughter establish friendships and routines in her new city
Preparing simple dinners and snacks
Keeping child-related spaces organized and tidy
Light household organization
Family laundry
Light meal preparation
General Family Assistant support as needed
Occasional date-night and overnight coverage
To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.
Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
CPR certification (if applicable).
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
