WHAT IS YOUR COMMUNICATION STYLE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR EMPLOYERS? ANY EXAMPLES TO SHARE?
I love over-communication versus very little communication. I like for expectations to be clear. After I know what is important to them, I can move forward comfortably knowing their style.
WHAT TYPE OF NANNY ROLE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AND WHAT ENVIRONMENT YOU WOULD BE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN
My ideal family would have one child and want me to do special projects including making travel arrangements, helping cook and or plan events / parties, light chores, etc. I would like to be in a position where I would be able to really help and support the family. I also love reading stories to children, taking them to the park and being active.
PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW YOU HAVE TAKEN INITIATIVE IN YOUR PAST NANNY POSITIONS.
When I would watch children for a family, I would take the initiative to take the kids to farmers markets, the park and read to them every day before naps. We always did small adventures such as the Discovery Museum, the beach, etc. I loved taking them on field trips and watching them learn by playing and making discoveries. When the parents would be late for pickup, I always fed them a healthy snack to hold them over and would help start their homework.
WHAT ARE YOUR DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY AND CHILD-REARING VALUES?
Positive affirmations not shaming or blaming. I believe that children do not set out to make our lives hard, but need attention and direction. I believe in rewarding kids with things they get to do instead of things they get to have because true happiness and enrichment come from experiences.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
I haven’t had challenges come up in families yet.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?
Exploring new places, listening to live music, learning about history, and trying new recipes. Yoga, walks, and working on myself to be the best version of myself I can be.
WHAT MAKES YOU SPARKLE?
My willingness to help, my resourcefulness, being mindful of safety, and my cheerful energy and smile.
