I am a very upbeat and caring person. I absolutely love children! Every child I have ever cared for, I have loved and treated them as if they were my own. I love being outdoors whether that is at the beach, going for a hike, or learning to play tennis/soccer. I grew up an athlete, so I am very athletic as well. I also just started my own business that I am hoping to get up and fully running by next month!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
I want to be a nanny because of my love for kids! Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a mom, but knowing I wouldn't be ready for that role any time soon, I took on the position of babysitting/nannying.
I babysat all through high school and then got a job working for a daycare at a private elementary school, and that is where my love for working with kids grew tremendously.
I grow so attached to the kids, created so many relationships with all the kids and their families! I enjoy playing with the kids, taking care of them, and helping them grow through life!

WHAT IS YOUR COMMUNICATION STYLE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR EMPLOYERS? ANY EXAMPLES TO SHARE?
Most of my communication style has been through text messages with all employers. I stay very professional when speaking to any employer, but I feel that texting is the most efficient way especially when it is an emergency or last minute information. I am always open to communicate through email as well if needed. I am very open and willing to do whatever works best for the employer.

I am looking for a part-time nanny position at the moment. I thrive in a loving family home with a kind family who is understanding!
PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW YOU HAVE TAKEN INITIATIVE IN YOUR PAST NANNY POSITIONS.
I have taken initiative when the two girls I nannied were fighting and throwing a tantrum. The way I took initiative was I chose to separate the two of them to calm them down, then talked to each of them separately, and then once they were calm, I brought them back together to talk it out and apologize.
Another instance, was when two kids were disagreeing on what show or movie to watch, and I created a game to make it fun, but also help them make a decison. Or I have had them compromise so they both are happy. For example, if it was a show we would watch one episode of the show one of them chose and then a different episode from the show the other child wanted, that way everyone wins!
WHAT ARE YOUR DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY AND CHILD-REARING VALUES?
When it comes to discipline, I try to stay firm, but not anything that would be overstepping as I am not the parent. I always like to sit them down and talk it out with them, and if they need time and space to calm down, I am more than happy to do so and then talk with them about what happened when they are calm.
I have given kids time outs if necessary or taken away TV time if that is the case. But I also really try to communicate with the family to see there disciplinary ways so it stays consistent with the children. I also want to respect their parenting choices.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
My biggest challenge as a nanny is when it comes to a personality conflict, mainly with the child. For example, if a child is more so stand offish. my challenge with this is trying to accommodate and make that child feel comfortable because I am a very loving person. I love hugs and cuddles with the kids, but I also want to respect the child's and family's wishes.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?
I am really into the outdoors/sports. I love to go on hikes/walks, I love to go to the beach as well! I like playing soccer, tennis, and basketball. I also love to swim! I am also into photography. I love board games as well!
WHAT MAKES YOU SPARKLE?
I believe what makes me sparkle is my silly, fun, and caring personality! I have such a big heart and love and adore children! I am consonantly laughing, making jokes, and just trying to make sure everyone around me is having a good time. I am a very empathetic/ understanding person and will always lend an ear and give my advice when needed/asked.
