MEET NANNY: EMMA
Full-Time - Marin and San Francisco
Hi! I’m Emma — a gentle, energetic nanny with 10+ years of experience caring for little ones from newborn to school age.
I grew up in a big family of 6! I helped raise my nieces and nephews and my little brother since I was nine years old! Families describe me as calm, patient, and creative. I love turning everyday moments into learning and fun connections: a walk becomes a nature scavenger hunt; snack time becomes color sorting; story time becomes a mini theater performance.
I’m CPR/First Aid certified, comfortable with routines (naps, meals, school runs), and happy to help with family assistant tasks like children’s laundry, light tidying, organizing play spaces, and simple meal prep. I’m big on clear communication and teamwork with parents. My goal is always the same: a safe, warm environment where kids feel seen, soothed, and encouraged to grow into themselves.
I studied Human Rights and Cultural Anthropology, which taught me to approach every child with curiosity, respect, and care for their unique world. At home, I’m the auntie/big-sister type — lots of hugs, silly dances, and deep listening. I’m excited to bring that love and steadiness to a family who values kindness, routine, and joyful days.

MY BELIEFS AS A GENUINE NANNY
I believe... children thrive with love, safety, and consistent routines that let them explore their lives with confidence.
I believe... partnership with parents — clear communication, respect for their values, and teamwork — creates the best outcomes for everyone.
I believe... curiosity is the heart of learning; play is the most beautiful form of practice.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
Nannying is where my heart and skill set meet. It’s an honor to be trusted with a child’s day — to help them feel safe, loved, and curious. The work matters because the little moments (a calm nap, a new word, a brave slide at the park) build confident, caring humans. I love being part of that story with a family, and offering parents real support so their home runs smoothly.
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:
I’m warm, steady, and attentive. I notice details — the “I’m tired” eye rub, the “I need help” pause — and respond proactively. Strengths: infant soothing, toddler routines, positive behavior coaching, and making logistics feel easy. I’m reliable, on time, and communicative. My values are safety, respect, kindness, and developmentally appropriate independence (inviting children to try, with support). I believe in partnering with parents and honoring their home culture and preferences.
