MEET NANNY: ABBEY

Full-Time - Marin and San Francisco

I have always been drawn to people, nature, and creativity. My career began as a camp counselor at an outdoor leadership camp, sparking a lifelong passion for learning, growth, and adventure. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art from UC Berkeley, later returning to complete my teaching credential with a focus on child development and education. Since then, I’ve spent my career supporting families, guiding young people, and building meaningful connections in a variety of settings, from classrooms and outdoor programs to household management and nannying.

As a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and Professional Life Coach, I bring authenticity, empathy, and a hearty sense of humor to my work. I’m deeply organized (I love a good color-coded spreadsheet!) and equally at ease leading a sing-along, planning the logistics of adventure travel, or helping a child discover their strengths.

Outside of work, I love trail running, paddleboarding, and making art, from metalwork jewelry to nature drawing. Some of my happiest memories are camping on the Sea of Cortez, watching the sun rise surrounded by incredible people and nature. I bring that same spirit of joy, steadiness, and curiosity to every family I support.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?

I want to be a family assistant because it beautifully weaves together my strengths in organization, relationship-building, and supporting families in meaningful ways. Throughout my career (whether as a nanny, household manager, or summer camp director) the common thread has always been creating systems and helping people thrive within them.

I’m deeply motivated by work that makes daily life smoother and more joyful for others. I love wearing multiple hats, balancing hands-on tasks like grocery shopping, cooking, and school pickups with strategic tasks like scheduling, travel planning, and anticipating needs before they arise. My goal is to create and uphold elegant systems that allow families to focus on what matters most: time together.

To me, this role is an act of service and care. Supporting a family’s rhythm and helping their children grow into caring, confident, and genuine people feels deeply meaningful. I’m proud to bring warmth, humor, and structure to a household, and I’d be honored to use those skills to help a family flourish.

PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:

I bring high energy, warmth, and a trustworthy and consistent presence to every household I support. I’m playful and creative, often finding joy and laughter in the little moments, while maintaining clear, kind, and consistent boundaries with children. I delight in getting to know each child’s unique personality and helping them feel seen, capable, and celebrated.

I’m a proactive self-starter who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, often anticipating needs before they arise. I love creating systems that make life easier for everyone and finding practical, people-centered ways to bring order and calm to busy days.

I’m both emotionally intelligent and action-oriented, a strong communicator, thoughtful listener, and dependable collaborator. My approach is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and humor. I love spending time outdoors and often weave nature and creativity into daily life as part of my self-care. Above all, I value trust, consistency, and partnership, and I look forward to bringing those qualities to a family that shares those values.
