Hi! My name is Rileigh. I have over 10 years of childcare experience including babysitting, in-home daycare, preschool assistant, and private nanny. I feel as comfortable with newborns as I do with preschool and elementary school-age children, and I am adaptable to new challenges and environments. I am an inherently nurturing person and enjoy developing a positive, trusting, interactive, and fun relationship with family/employers and their children. When I was very young, I had some memorable babysitters and teachers who were really fun, creative, and loving. They made a lasting impression on me, and I know it was my positive experience with them that made me realize how much I, too, wanted to work with children. I really enjoy the outdoors, being in nature hiking, exploring the beach, going to museums, cooking nutritious food, and finding fun in everything I do. Working with children is my calling, and I intend to return to college to complete my Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification.

As a Nanny, I am aware that taking care of children is a tremendous responsibility, and I take the responsibility very seriously. I always strive to be an exceptional Nanny, which I believe requires maturity, focus, competence, non-stop positive energy, and adherence to the parents' values and desired approach to childcare and discipline. I have a very strong work ethic and give 100% to each day. I really think open and positive communication is key to creating a great relationship with employers. I have found that it is really beneficial to establish regular times to review how things are going. This creates a very positive, respectful, and professional working environment.
WHAT TYPE OF NANNY ROLE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AND WHAT ENVIRONMENT YOU WOULD BE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN
I am looking to work for a family where we know from our first meeting there is a positive connection. It is always my goal to create a strong and personable bond with my employers and their children. It is essential that I work in a professional/respectful environment that is based on trust and open communication, and where expectations are clearly defined. I take great pride in my work and will always make it my goal to meet/exceed expectations. That being said, it is equally important to for me to feel that my work ethics are appreciated. Working in harmony is a win/win situation.

As mentioned previously, in my experience the key to success as a Nanny is understanding the needs and expectations of the position, and creating a strong bond with both parents and children. I have always taken the initiative in establishing good communication with my employers so that I can meet/exceed expectations. I am also open about my willingness to provide help beyond childcare such as with house management services, travel, etc.

I believe it is my place to adhere to the parents' values and desired approach to child rearing and discipline.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
I think the biggest challenge has been encouraging open communication. I believe it is always best to discuss positive things, as well as anything of concern when they happen rather than missing the opportunity to celebrate something memorable or address an issue and resolve it.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?
I live a healthy lifestyle. I work out regularly, I am very active, adventurous, and enjoy hiking and camping in the mountains or near the ocean. Cooking is also a passion of mine. I like to be creative and try new healthy recipes.
