GENUINE NANNY: JASMINE L.
Full-time - Peninsula
MEET OUR HONEST, EMPETHETIC & COMMUNICATIVE GENUINE NANNY JASMINE L.!
Hello potential families, I am Jasmine LeDuff and I began my career as a FA/Nanny over 18 years ago! Over the past 10 years, the GN team has assisted in placing me with some of the best families I have ever worked with and I am fortunate enough to still be in touch with those families today. Some things to know about me are that I am warm, inquisitive, meticulous and energetic. Now that my own 2 children are in college, I am very much looking forward to expanding my responsibilities as FA/Nanny and building on passions. Some of my passions include communication, organizing, taking initiative and being a forward thinker. I’m very excited to meet my next family where I can utilize these passions to create cohesiveness and smooth productivity within the household.
MY BELIEFS AS A GENUINE NANNY
I believe... That each child is a precious gift and it is our job as adults to love, guide, protect, nourish and encourage them.
I believe... That you get out of life what you put in so find one thing to inspire you or be grateful for everyday.
I believe... That no matter what happens today, tomorrow is always a new day!
PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY, STRENGTHS,
WORK ETHIC, AND VALUES:
I am assertive and excellent at collaborating. I have very strong work ethics in the sense that work always comes first in my life and I take my role in the family unit very seriously. I also pride myself on the fact that my families hold a great deal of trust in me and in my ability to make decisions for their children, in their absence.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
I personally believe that every child I have cared for has taught me something that has helped me learn and grown as a woman. I also believe that being a nanny allows me the opportunity to make an impact in the world, one child at a time. I'm proud to be responsible for guiding children through understanding, identifying and ultimately communicating their feelings. Being a support system and a safe place for a child to share and express their feelings I believe helps children be more thoughtful and secure. It's a role I cherish.

WHAT IS YOUR COMMUNICATION STYLE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR EMPLOYERS? ANY EXAMPLES TO SHARE?
Collaborative, flexible, open-minded, direct while still being respectful and detailed.
WHAT TYPE OF NANNY ROLE ARE YOU LOOKING FOR AND WHAT ENVIRONMENT YOU WOULD BE MOST SUCCESSFUL IN
I adapt easily to most environments but over the years I think I've thrived the most in families who rely heavily on their nanny to multi-task, be forward-thinking, take initiative and who can keep the household and the children's schedules flowing smoothly.
PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW YOU HAVE TAKEN INITIATIVE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
I'm fairly skilled at seeing how the minor details come together to create the bigger picture/end goal. I think being a keen listener, paying attention to detail and being organized (with a calendar or a to-do list) are ways that I have strengthened my ability to take initiative.
WHAT ARE YOUR DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY AND CHILD-REARING VALUES?
My philosophy on discipline varies based on the age of the child and I also want to consider the philosophies that may be important to the parents. Generally, I do expect and teach children to be grateful, kind, respectful and polite. I also believe that children need to learn how to think for themselves and develop their own intuition. I think it is important that the adults provide some guidance and parameters around these topics for the children, as well.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE AS A NANNY OR WHILE WORKING WITH A FAMILY?
In the early years of my career, I found it challenging if parents and I were not on the same page when it came to enforcing good manners, respect and kindness with the children.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES & INTERESTS?
I love dancing, live music & concerts, festivals, traveling, painting, cooking or experiencing new cuisines but the activity that brings me the most joy is spending time with my children!
WHAT MAKES YOU SPARKLE?
Being empathetic, having a keen intuition and valuing communication are traits that certainly make me unique! I am also an innately curious person which has enabled me to be excellent at solving problems and easily understanding people.
