Experience: 6 years of nanny experience, with 2 years of infant experience and 1 year of twin experience.
Compensation: $45/hr.

My name is Kristin and I was born and raised in Michigan. I recently got married in October 2023, and I live with my husband and two wonderful dogs out here in California. I love to travel and enjoy being outdoors as much as I can.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE A NANNY?
I have loved being a nanny and a teacher because every day I learn something new. Whether it's a new way to approach a problem or learning the way each kid works, there's always something new. I love teaching kids at a young age to understand the world around them and grow into who they were meant to become. I want to be able to be a reliable source to help out in any way needed to make life easier for the families I work with. Parenting and working can be overwhelming and I want to take some of that weight off and allow for the parents to feel at ease knowing they have someone else to count on that they can trust.

I have been described by previous employers and coworkers as helpful, kind, and energetic. I am always willing to help out in any way that I can. I love to make people smile and laugh and see the beauty in the world. I like to find positivity in things, especially when it comes to working with kids. Some of my strengths when it comes to working with families are my flexibility, willingness to go above and beyond, genuine love and care, and the ability to be patient in all situations. I want to be the person that families can count on to help take the everyday stress away and help them enjoy the good things life has to offer.
WHAT ARE YOUR DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY AND CHILD-REARING VALUES?
I believe in a positive yet semi-firm and gentle approach when working with kids. I am extremely patient and want the kids to have basic respect for me. I believe in communicating with the child the actions that lead to the discipline so that they are aware of the reasoning. Along with that, I just want to approach the kids with whatever philosophy on raising their kids the parents have because I just want us all to be working together so that the kids have an understanding when it comes to discipline and values. So as long as I am told how the family wants to approach all of the tougher things, I am on board to support and respect their wishes.
