THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Lotus Family!
About the Family
A warm first-time family in Mill Valley is seeking a full-time nanny for their baby boy, who will be about six months old at the start of the position in late July. Both parents work, with a combination of office and work-from-home schedules. Mom commutes to the Peninsula for work, while Dad has a flexible schedule and works both from home and the office. The family will be traveling to Hong Kong in the spring and is hoping to secure the right nanny in advance so everything is in place upon their return.
They are looking for a long-term nanny who will become a steady and trusted presence in their son’s life as he grows. The family lives in the Lumber Yard area of Mill Valley and has a friendly labradoodle named Willow, so comfort around dogs is important. They value warmth, reliability, and someone who truly enjoys engaging with young children.
Their Ideal Candidate
Their ideal nanny has strong infant experience and a genuine interest in early childhood development. They are active, resourceful, and naturally engaging, someone who enjoys getting down on the floor to play, planning age-appropriate activities, and helping a baby explore the world in a safe and stimulating way. The family is hoping to find someone with a warm and energetic presence who takes initiative and brings thoughtful ideas to the day.
They would love someone with a long-term mindset who is excited to grow with their family. A local Marin candidate is preferred, and the nanny should be comfortable driving, as outings and activities will become part of the routine over time. While not required, language skills in Cantonese or Mandarin would be a wonderful bonus. The family also appreciates a candidate with an international background or an openness to different cultures.
