Our annual Child Care Champions Luncheon shines the spotlight on the importance of early care and education for all children, and honors the child care champions whose critical work upholds our families and communities.

Join over 400 business leaders, innovators, influencers and Children’s Council supporters as we recognize extraordinary educators and community members making a difference in our city. Together, let’s work for a future where all children have the opportunity to thrive.

Our Impact

At Children’s Council, we measure our impact by how successful we are in helping families with young children, especially low-income families, find quality child care and connect them to assistance to pay for it.

By ensuring families have access to child care, we help them stay in the work force or continue their education. Children’s Council is committed to the total well-being of young children from their early learning to nutrition and healthy eating and, towards that end, we offer dozens of workshops and classes every year for both parents and child care providers to build their individual capacity as early educators. We also provide important referrals to other essential services such as English as a Second Language, job training, Medi-Cal, and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

A Snapshot the Children’s Council’s Impact

In 2017, Children’s Council…

  • Assisted over 10,000 families in finding child care.

  • Helped more than 5,000 families secure child care financial assistance.

  • Assisted 135 families locate inclusive care for a child with special needs.

  • Provided learning opportunities to 1,261 parents/caregivers who participated in our child development and early learning workshops.

  • Served more than 655,000 healthy meals through child care providers in our network

We would love to have you join us for a festive Scarves & Sangria Nanny Meet Up at Alma Cocina in the Mission SF on Friday, November 16th at 6:30p. We will be serving a special seasonal cocktail to warm up as we move into cooler weather! It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your nanny community while learning about the current nanny climate.

We will be talking about current market rates, benefits and negotiation practices.

Who we are…

We run a consulting boutique that has been successfully placing nannies in the Bay Area for over 11 years. Marie and I are former career nannies and we truly understand the needs, expectations and recipe of the working relationship between a nanny and his/her nanny family. Our nanny-centric approach has lead our minds and hearts to become strong advocates for the nanny community which is why we want to focus on helping professional nanny’s build their toolbox, and you never know you may meet a friend or two. ☺

So, whether you are happily in a position or will be looking in the New Year, stop by to have a toast with some of your fellow co-workers.

If you have any questions or would like to chat further, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Warm Regards,

Amy Osborn & Marie Mouat

Kindly RSVP to Marie at marie@genuinenannies.com
