Referral Fees

Genuine Nannies believes that percentage based fees can create a conflict of interest when finding the best fit for your family.  Local “Nanny Agencies” charge 10% - 15% of the Nanny’s 1st year earnings which can really add up! That is why I charge a one-time flat rate referral fee. You know exactly how much you are paying and it doesn’t depend on the Nanny's pay rate. Average referral fees with other agencies typically run between $3,000 - $9,000 without a one-year guarantee.  As your consultant I am able to offer flexibility and affordable rates without outrageously inflated fees.  I personalize my search for each family I meet to make sure it is a perfect fit, not just another interview.  I do not keep an outdated pool of nannies in my network, I will send you only the best and highly qualified nannies to your home.

It's easy!  When a client decides to employ a Nanny referred by the agency, a one-time referral fee is due. The amount of the fee will depend on the nature and duration of the employment arrangement. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to register with Genuine Nannies and is due at the time of your in-home consultation.  The deposit will be deducted from the remainder of your referral fee.

One-year guarantee:  In the rare event that a Nanny's employment is terminated in the first year, you will receive a credit to apply toward your next search.  The credit will start at 75% of the initial referral fee and is prorated depending on the duration of the Nanny's employment.

Tax help:  Additionally, clients can opt for the peace of mind of knowing that all the legal and tax issues of hiring a nanny or other household employee are complete.  Genuine Nannies' comprehensive Legal and Tax Package includes all of our exceptional placement services and a referral to a California attorney specializing in household employment matters who will (1) prepare all federal and state new hire and tax forms so you won't have to worry about startup paperwork; (2) draft a personally tailored employment agreement to confirm the terms of your candidate's employment and protect your rights in a legally enforceable document; (3) show you how to calculate and pay your state and federal employment taxes, including providing a sample payroll tax calculation for your ongoing needs; (4) educate you about strategies to maximize your tax savings; (5) provide you with an informative guide about household employment legal and tax issues; and (6) provide one year of legal assistance regarding additional questions or concerns about household employment matters.  Rather than worrying about legal and tax headaches, make sure that you've done everything correctly so that you can maximize your tax savings and spend more time with your family.
